We've stayed at LBH the last four times we were in Bali. The renovation in the superior bungalow we were in 42B consisted of throwing a mosquito net over the bed and some new blinds. No renovations made to the bathrooms. I think the renovations were mainly due replacing the roofing rather than for aesthetic purposes.
If they had updated some of the sunlounges we would be staying there again this year but I can't take another two weeks of lying on a cushion that's so flat it's like lying directly on the hard plastic.
Be careful of the double-booking also or you might find yourself at the Dynasty in Tuban instead. Although that's probably unlikely to happen to you as you have requested a specific bungalow.
