The Maharta Hotel is actually behind the Niksoma on the left as you come down the lane. We stay at the Maharta when in Legian. At the back of the (old?) Maharta restaurant there is some sort of private villa and there are some swinging doors from the Maharta restaurant that allow you to get through.
I am not sure how many villas there are in there but at the start of the lane going down to the Maharta and the back of the Niksoma there is another villa behind the Maharta. This may be a seperate villa to the one you get to from the back of the Maharta'a restaurant or it may be the same one - I do not know.
