I found its not really possible to work on the old halve it or quarter it myth, some shops will give you close to there best price straight away other won't. eg. i wanted to buy a lighter, nothing fancy, their first price 450,000 ended up walking away when he wouldnt go under 50,000 and then bought the same thing down the road for 20,000 without much bargaining. Best to just feel out what its worth to you and not believe any of their stories designed to make you feel bad and pay more.
But just like everyone says make it fun and you wont care if you pay a little too much.
