I will never ever use Escape travel again. We booked our travel to Bali last year with them, with a side trip to Singapore. The tickets didn't arrive until Friday night - we left 9am Sat. Tickets had wrong departure date on them and no time now to replace them. Got to check in at regional airport to be told we didn't have enough time to transfer to international at Sydney so Qantas wouldn't guarantee we would make the connection. I had asked the travel agent 2x about this - have an email confirming the flight transfer would be fine!
Got to bali - we had booked and paid for 2 rooms. Only one had been reserved by Escape despite advising us in writing all was confirmed.
Escape promised our proper return tickets would be delivered to us in Bali early that week. they were not. We got to DPS airport to go home - no record of us on any flight. Not the one the tickets showed not the one the itinerary showed. Sunday in Sydney - no one home at Escape. Luckily got sorted out after 2.5 hr wait, on plane last to go home.
Never, ever again will I use Escape Travel. All I got told when I got home was they had sacked the consultant. That is not sufficient - there is clearly a breakdown in their office supervision of staff as well as in their relationship with the wholesaler.
Went back to Bali 6 weeks later doing my usual practice of booking over the internet for flights and accom directly. No problems!
