There is a widespread belief that the first sale of the day sets the luck for the day, so shopping early in the morning is often good. Only ask the price of what you want to buy as it is merely the start of negotiation and it is expected you will buy if they meet your price. Also beware of sending out "buying signals...looking..at things you arent interested in purchasing, or dont be surprised when they follow you down the street bargaining. If the price you think it is worth to you isnt enough you can always try the next person or come back later. Always smile and be good humoured. I wouldnt use the half of asking price rule as sometimes a fifth of the price could be more like it and sometimes the first asking price has been less than I expected to pay.
There is a detailed list of what prices have recently been achieved further down the list. I always find the perfumes to smell like the real deal, (Even if you smell the bottle for sale, not the sample) but turn out to be "watered down" and the scent doesnt last, but you get what you pay for.
