We declared that we had 2L scotch and 1L of Baileys between us as well as the 2 cartons of cigarettes (for my naughty mother) and a box of tobacco for my naughty brother. Forgot about the 4 bottles of elcheapo wine in my mother's suitcase.
Had the white cross, smiled at the lovely people, went into the little room, played dumb and when we said how much the man tried in vain to work out what was what and how much, I ended up opening my wallet to show him a nice red $20 australian note and said, "this is all I've got, is that ok?" he smiled, said yes took the money and we were on our way, no dramas. We laughed all the way to our hotel
