If you dont want to be hassled by the monkeys dont take any food in with you, they'll smell it a mile away & make a bee-line for you. Also, keep your hands out of your pockets as they think you're about to pull out food. Take off anything that they can get their little monkeys hands on as you'll be hard pressed getting it back. If you do sit down somewhere, be prepared that they will jump on you, as they did me, & will even sit on your head to check for nits/bugs, etc. Makes for a great photo opp, but a bit scary I have to say. I didn't really trust them as I got chased by a monkey gnashing his teeth at me as he wanted my bag of bananas. Eventually, when I gave him some & he kept coming for more, I threw the whole bag at him. Just keep your distance from the bigger monkeys & you should be OK.
