Most of the stuff the hawkers have are bracelets, watches, sunnies etc. The cheaper stuff if you like and when you want something like that, then stop and have a look. If they don't have something you like, you just need to say "I dont like them, Im sorry". If you really want sunnies for example and dont want to disappoint this hawker in particular, you could always say quietly on the side, bring different ones tomorrow and I'll buy. They all have friends they get other styles from therefore, you wont let them down.
You'll window shop til you drop in Kuta and Seminyak and there is no stress of buying. Like at home, I walked into countless shops in Kuta and Seminyak and browsed and just gave a polite "Terima Kasih, thank you" on the way out. It sounds so overwhelming I know but you will be fine after a couple days, I promise.
