Frequent Flyers

A friend of mine is desperately trying to book to go to Bali...

There is nothing available around the dates she would like(give or take days) She was hoping to go this June July in or out of school holidays. She only needs 1 flight.

Is it worth it to keep trying?

Has anyone been successful as it gets closer to the dates?

Can anyone with experience please advise?
