The only things I would disagree on are:-
Bracelet made from 2 Aussie Gold Coins U supply RP 20000 (you can get these for 10 for 50.000 -no coins). 20.000 + $4 is too expensive - that's $7 each. I know a lot of people pay this but I don't know why. Perhaps they want a specific design made?
Sarongs Short RP 15000 - 20000
Sarongs Long RP 20000 - 30000 You can buy beutiful sarongs, most for 9.000- 12.000 on Jl Double 6. Don't even have to bargain.
Necklaces beaded or polished shells RP 10000. You can get almost any necklace for 5.000. I buy mostly in Legian and Seminyak. Kuta don't want to bargain much.
All day hire approx 6-8hrs (depends on mileage) RP300000 - 450000. 450.000= $65. That's a months average wage for a Balinese.
ATM and risk having your card chewed (this is common apparently). Not true. Hunbdreds of people use ATM's every day. You only hear of very occasional problems. Usually it is the fault of the person not taking thier card out. It comes out after the cash. Safer than carrying around louds of cash.
That must have taken ages to compile. I wish I had found this site before my first trip.
You don't have a price guide for Turkey and Greece do you? LOL
