Hi, we are a French family. We spent a week in Bali with my wife and daughter end of last January. what a wonderfull island !
As it was the first time that we went to Bali, i asked good friend (who's very familiar of the place) where i could find a good and affordable guide to see the key highlights of the island in a few days, before we rest at the beach.
He informed his friend Andri of our arrival and Andri became our private guide for the week, from the arrival till the departure. he picked us up at the airport, helped us to find a good and cheap hotel and organized, when we were calling him, some car rental for us and took us to the big touristic but also the off-the-beaten-tracks beauties of Bali. example : a burrying ceremony in a whole village, where the people burn 20 bodies at the same time. we exchanged a lot (his english is far better than mine) and learnt a lot. i'm proud to say he is now our friend.
if you're looking for some in-depth but stressless tour of Bali, i highly recommend you to contact him personnaly. he's not working with any agency, is very friendly and kind (as most indonesians, it seems!), and moreover affordable!
As we were more than satisfied to spend one week with a local friend, and as he deserves support, i give you his phone number : 081558178272.
Thank you to the people of Bali (especially in the small villages) for their warm welcome. and see you next year for a longer stay i hope...
Cheers.

Axel, Paris.
