The Coralia Novotel is in Kuta Beach Lombok. Kuta is on the south of the island. I think that Kuta Lombok is how Bali Kuta was perhaps 30 years ago. The Coralia is built right on the beach you can step off the restaurant steps amd walk down to the water, it's really beautiful. The water is blue and the sand is fine white sand, unlike any beach in Bali, magnificent.
They actually sift the sand along the beach and a guy on horseback comes along at dusk and lights up all the fire thingys along the shore for romantic walks, it is lovely.
However if you are after nightlife and markets apart from the hotel there is none. Lombok is not a tourist island, and certainly not in the Kuta are. If you want to see how the people live and enjoy the magnificent scenary and the beautiful hotel, then this is for you.
Why not some days there and others somewhere else? But I would certianly not say don't go you'll miss out on something beautiful.
