we took our little one when she was 6mths old and then again at 2.5yrs old... it was great.
She was vaccinated and up to date with all her required vaccinations and we took plenty of Rid across for her - spraying her, the pram and her clothes. We also took across a mossie net to cover the cot and also the pram.
Bath-time is hard. But you just have a quick bath, in to be washed and out again. You will be there with her so you can watch to see that she doesn't drink the water - you aren't being paranoid - DON'T LET HER DRINK THE WATER!
No baby seats, although I think some people take across baby car seats. We just sat bub on our laps and held onto her.
You can use a backpack around Bali, the only thing we thought was that it was hot for both bub and whoever was carrying the backpack. Also if you don't have a shade over the backpack - it's not a good thing for bub, especially if (like my son at 9mths) she won't wear a hat. We took over an umbrella stroller and found that very handy, left it over there - bub could fall asleep when needed and they were comfy and not so hot being against your skin too, plus they had the shade... this time we are buying an umbrella stroller when we get there.
Never tried to get hotel to puree things. They probably could, if they understand. I took ALL our food over, but at 6mths my little was being given biscuits, lollies, basically anything the Balinese ate, they would offer to her - keep an eye on that, if you are wary of any food.....
Make sure you have plenty of bottled water and some jellies. Kids, especially babies can get dehydrated very quickly and easily over there. It's quite hot.
You will find that wherever you go, bub will be the centre of attention and everyone will want to hold her. You get free hands to eat brekkie, lunch or dinner!
Maybe take over swim aids for the pool - you'll spend heaps of time in the pool. Lots of sunscreen too.
We also took over all our nappies - they just padded up the surfboards!!
Think this has covered a few things, any other questions just ask....
Have a great time, it's lots of fun.
