Somewhere in the 'typically' very fine small print is a $100 excess to pay. You can choose to delete it by paying a higher premium which we didn't.
I had to make a medical claim for my son who spent three mornings in the medical clinic. (the BIMC I think from memory).
Didn't put our claim in until close to the xmas period and was paid (less the $100)with no problems but took about 4-5 weeks.
I thought it very cheap too until I read about the excess which I didn't notice until after I'd joined. Could of gone elsewhere then but couldn't be bothered.
Tip - from Loli:) - do the maths with the excess in mind.
