I'm surprised you can get anything but ribs off them. To make a decent steak the butcher would have to stitch together the meat from six steers.
And if it was imported from Australia or NZ, it was probably frozen on the way over, then left in the hot sun before it even got to the deli.
The safest thing is not to eat any meat you haven't run over with your own car.
