FF flights in December

I was interested in your success in getting FF flights in December. I know about booking up to 355 days ahead, but imagined there would be blackout dates around Xmas/New Year. We're thinking about going for Xmas 2005 for 3 weeks from about 20 Dec, returning around 10 Jan. Do you think it's worth trying for FF flights on these dates?
