We were there in July and there were a few families with babies (who had full time nannies looking after them) so the parents could do their own thing around the pool. The Jayakarta (Legian not Seminyak) is more set up for kids, with 3 pools, tennis courts etc but the rooms are tired. Kumala Pantai is a great hotel, more kid friendly than Niksoma as it is very popular with families (Legian again). All these hotels are only separated from beach by beach road (no cars.) I prefer KP but it is very difficult to get in as it is so popular.
