On 17th November we booked at the Biyukukung Resort and Spa for 27th and 28th DECEMBER. Was asked for credit card number "that we will use guarantee your reservation". Due to unforeseen circumstances, emailed to cancel on 19th November (38 days notice). $134.58 has now been taken out of my Visa account, against my wishes.
Have been in contact with Visa and have been told to dispute transaction which we are doing.
Just thought I'd warn anyone thinking of booking with this Hotel - they do not stipulate at all any cancellation policy - including on their website. Have never booked via the internet before. If I cancelled a week before the arrival date, I would expect to be charged, but not 38 DAYS BEFORE.
