Hi. On our last trip to Bali we did a day trip through a dive company to Tulamben. This time my other half is keen to dive at Menjangan and the kids and I will snorkel. Given the travelling time we figured we might make it an overnighter this time - checking out the scenery and places of interest on the way then diving the next day.
Last time the whole package was through a dive company but this time we thought about booking a driver and just organising the dive when we arrived - has anyone done anything similar? Are we likely to have any problems organising the dive ourself? (will be late July 05 after the school holidays. Can anyone recommend any dive companies and somewhere nearby to stay overnight - we would be happy with quite basic as we will be paying for two hotels that night! Also should we use the same driver return or just pay for transport each way?
