Hello: I am thinking of coming to Bali during the Easter week in April. My home is around San Francisco, California, US. Since I have never been to Bali I have to idea about what is good, expensive, to be avoided, etc. There are quite a few very cheap rates from San Francisco right now through China Airlines and Singapore Air. There are also stop overs in Hong Kong or Singapore. My 13 year old daughter will also be going with me. She is very open to most everything. My questions are what:
1) diving? Can one come and go from a major city to dive? Where does one dive? Also, I might want to have my daughter experience diving so I need a good and patient diving school for her.
2) What city or cities should we be staying at or going to?
3) I want to keep the costs to a minimum. The package I am looking at has 2 star hotels and transportation to and from SFO for $899 (6 days - 5 nights) - which I probably will extend.
