Just back from 2 weeks in Lovina so may be able to help with restaurants.Kakatau on Jl Bina Ria does Indo. Mexican,Thai & Indian and is quite cheap.Bali Apik (off a side street)was pretty good.BU Warung on the main road has small serves but cheap & tasty.Warung Waru Bali at the end of Jl Ketepang (same road as Rambutan)is cheap & tasty and has local live music most nights.A new place has just opened just opposite which looks nice and a bit more up market.Opposite the dolphin statue is Funky Monkey ,part owned by an Aussie,Jim,and is a great place for sitting and people watching over a cold Bintang, with cheap snacks (nasi campur 5000 rp ,nasi 10000 rp,fish & chips 12500).Rambutan seemed very quiet,as are most places in Lovina at the moment so you should be able to negotiate a good price on accomodation.Enjoy it!!I certainly did!
