Returned yesterday after 2 weeks at the Inna Kuta Beach, stayed in a bugalow, hotel,staff,location etc, excellent, will stay there again. Flew Garuda delayed departure by 2 hours Saturday night, friend left Sunday night and flight delayed again, is this the normal for Garuda these days because the plane arrives from Jakarta. I have learnt 2 thing about Bali this year, don't go there during Nyepi and most definitely don't go the week after Rahmadan, the change in traffic from the the first week to the second was unbelievable, taxi's couldn't drop you at the hotel, it took such a long time to get anywhere, unless you could walk. Weather was fantastic. Tried Bubba Gumps a bit over the top and noisy, can recommend Rama Bridge Restaurant just passed Kuta Sq in Kartika plaza, Copa in Melasti st opposite Bali Aussie, Kori's in Poppies Lane 2. A group of us did the bike ride through Bali Budaya Tours, excellent value, fantastic trip, cheaper than other tours I have done, guides were excellent and informative. Allowing for the flight delay plus overweight luggage charge our holiday was fantastic and I am starting to think about next years return although wife says that I'll be going by myself, but this won't happen.
