I have two SLRs a Canon EOS 300 and a Nikon F60, both with high quality zooms, up to 300mm plus 2x converters, and macros. I have a Ricoh point and shoot 35mm and a Ricoh digi. I am still old school I have to say. The flexibility of an SLR is still the best point. If you want to just point and shoot then non-SLR digis are OK but if you are taking serious photos then stay with the film. You can get better quality on your enlargements to bigger sizes. Sure you take alot of duds but the processing is pretty cheap compared to the cost of photo paper, cartridges, ink and printer to give quality output. Then if I need them in digital, I can scan or get them processed with a CD version as well.
