I brought back alot of drums from Thailand, Vietnam and Bali and all have had to be treated. The cost is about $60 for one or a bit over $100 for multiple items so get a few and save the cost. A good trick is to look thru the bottom of the drum at the skin. It you can see any traces of veins or fur, it will need to be treated. If it is clean, they may let it pass.
