Best to take crisp new $100 notes (no tears or marks) If you change $100 notes you get a good idea of what rate you should be receiving.
The Kodak shops seem to have a good reputation, sorry I am not sure of any in the Sanur area as we always stay in Legian. You can always use your card at ATM machines, they have them in the airport, also the money changers at the airport are good for changing $20 or $50 when you first arrive so you have some local money. The rate at the moment is great, the best it has been in many years of travelling to Bali so happy shopping.
