On the first one the number just about jumped off the screen it was so obvious. On the others I could see nothing, not even the "wrong" numbers. But I could see lots of nice colours, even if I could not name them. I think it may be impossible to explain to one another what we are really seeing. Ordinary spectacles, contact lenses or laser treatment etc will do nothing to correct colour vision.
My mother's father was colourblind. It's passed on through the daughters and reappears in the grandsons. My mother had several sisters, most of whom had medium to large families, so I had a number of colourblind male cousins. It's never been a problem to me, but I could not be [for instance] a house painter, electrician, train driver or airline pilot. Some people ask me how I handle traffic lights. Well, there's a top one, a middle one and a bottom one!
