can recommend The Dirty Duck (Bebek Becil) in Jl.Hanoman for your wife's birthday dinner. Lovely restaurant, spread out around gardens and lily ponds. Private bales are available, its very peaceful and serene. The food is great, too. Lamak, on Monkey Forest Rd. is more like a normal restaurant here, decor very interesting (esp. the bathroom!!!) The food is fantastic, the service 1st.class. Ate at both places in Oct. Will definitely return to both in the future.
