and going to Bali, it is DEFINATELY cheaper to get your duty free booze in the Bali Airport... at the duty free shop just past the VOA desks, through the turnstyles on the left just before customs and baggage pickup. As I said I paid $20 Australian for a 1.25L bottle of Jim Beam that was only a couple of weeks ago. I was going to buy it duty free in Sydney but they wanted $39 Australian for it.
On the way out of the country it is a bit dearer, I paid $23 US for a litre bottle of Dom Benedictine, but still heaps cheaper than duty free in Australia.
