Buy duty free for drinking in Bali at the airport in Aus. You can take in 1 litre each unless you want to try and bribe the customs officials to take more.
Either order your 2 litres allowance to bring back from duty free in Aus and pick it up when you get off the plain before immigration or buy at the duty free shop at the airport in Bali. We always do that, gives you something to do whilst waiting for your flight and generally cheaper than here. We bought 1ltr Early Times bourbon for US$11, 1 ltr Baileys for US$19, 1ltr Malibu for US$15.00 and 1ltr Jose Cuervo Especial Trquila for US$16.50 (currently one Ausssie dollard buys just under 80 US cents, so you can work out.
As for electronics, I always get the very best price I can in Aust at Harvey Normans or Good Guys, whatever...play them off each other til you get the lowest price, then take away with a receipt and claim your 10% at the airport. Always beats the D/free price, but nothing wrong with ringing up and asking Downtown or whatever what their price is before you decide. I wouldn't buy in Bali.
Hope this helps S;~)
