Hi First-Timer:
The difference between driving in Bali & Aust is radical , the first thing you will notice coming from Adelaide is the amount of vehicles compared to home traffic , there does not seem to be any road rules as we know them but miraculously it flows without too much trouble.
There is a lot of tooting to & fro constantly & no road rage that we have witnessed in the years that we have been going there , 2 years ago I decided to rent a motor bike & have a go myself with my better/half on board & let me tell you that it was one of the funniest experiences that I ever had with my wife totally freaking out with cars actually rubbing against her knees as they went past & her on the back of the bike trying to direct traffic with her arms , needless to say she didn't come with me again.

What you need to do is , relax, have a few Bintangs before venturing on your excursions & enjoy the ride for it really is a lot of fun.
