a few years back, I saw my naturopath beforehand and she said if I was really worried, avoid eating any meat and stick to fresh fish (not shell fish) and veggies. And I also took some acidophilus powder with me - good for the gut. Don't worry too much though. I wouldn't stick to that advice now as I've been four times since and eaten anywhere and everywhere. Main things to do to avoid getting sick are 'wash your hands"! Do it properly before and after toilet and eating, and of course only drink bottled water and this inlcudes brushing your teeth and no ice. But again up to you. I have broken all those rules!
With regards to where to eat, don't let it stress you out. If it looks reasonably clean, chances are kitchen hygiene will be ok too.
