- done over there also. This is where the big savings can be made. Not all of the smaller shops are good however. Because of the fewer numbers of tourists their machines are not doing a lot of work and the maintenance is not being done. Some films can come out faded because of worn out solutions or inorrect temperatures or spotted because of dust.
I can sincerely recommend Bali Fotografion Jl Raya Kuta. Pak Leo is an enthusiastic photographer himself and gets a lot of work from locals and ex-pats. He will do beautiful enlargements and is now able to transfer all of your photos onto CD directly from the negatives. Ask his lovely shop assistants not to cut the negative roll into strips (makes the transfer onto CD quicker, easier and therefore cheaper). On the last day take all your negatives back and get them all transferred onto one CD. When I checked mine at home (3 CD's) not one of them had a virus, a problem which several posters here have warned about. Working from the CD on your computer it is childs play to send brilliant images by e-mail, much better than running your prints through a home scanner.
Take them all a Chuppa Chup and get even better and more even personal service.
