We had some made awhile ago now so prices won't be current but from memory around 25 - 30000rp (bracelets) about 2 years ago.
Ours were made by friends on Melasti St(just one of the guys that tout for business whether it be for a driver, bracelets, tours etc. He then sends it off elsewhere to get made.
I negotiated a price for the items, so don't know how many coins were needed to make them.
After negotiation, friend did ask if we had any $2 coins -always asked anyway.
During one trip he asked me could I change over all his $2 coins into rupiah, which I did...nearly $100 worth.
Was also told they are made from local coin & from $1 coins.
So it was pretty obvious that not all are made from the $2 coins nor do you always need them.
The ones we had made did not discolour & looked good for a long time so did not worry us whether they were 'real' coin or not
It's coin/metal jewellery but not always the coins/metal you think.
