Hi adj,

Just got back from Bali on the 7th of November and we stayed at Villa Kecapi for 6 nights from the 28th of November to the 3rd of November.
I am in the middle of doing a JBR, but can give you a quick run-down.

They have three villa's available (the fourth is used by the owner), with two of them being two bedrooms and the thrid with three bedrooms. They are located at the end of a short laneway about 1km up from the Livingroom/La Luciola/Bodyworks. Rather than walking everywhere we either had the staff order a taxi or we walked up to the road where their were plenty of cab's to hail.

They are very well built and are in good working order and had comfortable furnitire to lounge around on. The pool was larger than we expected and with the bale, great to lounge around and swim during the day. The outdoor bathrooms were very spacious and was great to take a bath in the huge tub under the stars.

They basically have a couple of staff members to each villa with one doing a day shift and the other at night. A further security guard rocks up at night and is stationed at the entrance to the property to make sure no uninvited guests wander down.

If breakfast is included, the staff will come in in the morning at the requested time and cook breakfast. They will then do the dishes, change the towels over and give the place a clean. If you are in the villa during the afternoon they will do afternoon tea with a local treat for you.

The staff were very friendly and as you generally had only two looking after you (day and night shift) you had the time to get to know them better. However, they probably were not as polished as staff from the larger hotels but that was not a problem for us.

The only other draw backs on the property was no safe in the room (need to find some good hiding spot for valuables), no satelite TV (not an issue as we don't watch much over in Bali) and the breakfast's while adequate did not have a hude selection so got a bit repetative after a couple of days (plenty of places to go if you want to eat out in the area for something different).

All up, great villas, great location (not too far out of town but nice and quiet) and very friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere.

If you can the villa for a good price then definately worth the stay.

If you need to know anything else, let me know.
