We got back a month ago and got lots of Volcom, Billabong, Quick Silver from the Surf shops which were about half the price of Jetty Surf. My son loves all that gear and was very happy with all his purchases. Also got lots of Von Dutch hats and there were lots of bags. You can get Louis Vitton everywhere, all the markets have the more common styles and then there are some boutique type shops which have to more upmarket stuff. I got a really nice LV black attache case for business for $70.00 but then we also got lots of bags and wallets for around $5 to $15.
As far as makeup went, they had a few of the brands link Revlon and Loreal at Matahari department store in Kuta Square but the prices were about the same as in Adelaide so I didn't end up buying any. You might find that the more expensive makeup like Channel etc is cheaper in the duty free but it wasn't much better in Kuta. We didn't go into Denpasar this time so I am not sure if the prices where any better in there.
Hope you have a wonderful time. Once you get there you will see how easy it is to find all these things.
