We stayed there in September also, we never had a problem with the lounges by the pool,people dont tend to laze around all day so people are always constantly leaving, too much to see and do.
We had a upstairs room so balcony was small,but didnt really bother us. For socialising downstairs rooms are better.
Staff very friendly. Would probably stay at niksoma if we went again, closer to everything.
