I know you can with Adventure Tours. I didn't take my camera cause I wasn't sure either. Others did and the staff put your cameras, wallets, etc. into two waterproof bags then tied the outer bag to the inside of the raft.
They stop along the way for photo opportunities. I was a bit scared to start with but had a ball! Great fun! :-)
