Returned from Bali two weeks ago. Wife and three children 12, 15 and 17. Stayed at Padma Hotel for 15 days in two Garden deluxe cottages. Would highly recommend hotel to anyone considering staying there. Great surroundings and facilities, spotlessly clean. Perfect position on beach, great sunsets every day. Ideally located for great shopping and restaurants. Must try Posers Pub right outside, great hanging kebabs, as good as Kori,s. Speaking of Kori,s it is a must visit, one of the best restaurants ( surroundings, service, food and price ) I have been to anywhere and believe me I love eating out. I cannot say the same for KuDeTa though. The most disappointing, overated, overpriced meal we had in our whole stay. Wife felt unwell straight after eating there.
Padma rooms were large, spotless and well furnished, in room safe in all rooms. Very friendly staff. Lovely bars with reasonable prices for a hotel of this type. Have theme dinners every night, Kecak Dance, Jegong Dance etc. Kids loved it. Food buffet style OK if you like that style. 165 000 rupiah a head.
Would definately recommend upgrade to garden deluxe room. Rooms are great, lovely bathrooms, spotlessly clean, staff can't do enough for you. This included access to the garden club lounge for complimentary cocktails each evening ( great cocktails and food, the friendliest hotel staff I've seen ), free internet, complimentary laundry, one free theme dinner for each person each week you stay ( found out too late the value of these dinners can be utilised for meals around the pool etc. Just need to see reception ), Complimentary guide book for each room, actually more than a guide book more a hard copy travel documentary. One of the best I've seen.
Hopefully will return to Bali next year and the Padma will be hotel of choice.
If you have any specific questions just ask.
