I spent 3 weeks in Bali with my 8 month old and sterilised all of his eating and drinking equipment, and even gave his toys a quick dunk as well.
I bought a really cheap electric kettle in Perth that I took with me (great for morning cuppas as well), took stelising solution, (yes it took up some room, but I didn't have to bring it home), and bought a large palstic container in Kuta, sorta like a big bucket.
I would buy the big containers of bottled water, boil it, fill up the bucket with the stelising liquid, sterilise all his bottles, dummy, etc, then also boil water to make up bottles for him.
Who would want their child to get Bali belly if you can take steps to avoid it.
