If you are coming in on the Thursday afternoon flight from Sydney/Melbourne on AA that lands around 4.30pm then don't worry about it.
We were through VOA in no more than 10 minutes last week. Actually had to wait longer for our bags and the couple that did use it were still waiting for their bags when we walked by.
If you know that your landing slot is going to be busier when you arrive then it maybe worth a go, but you will be through quick but still need to wait for your bags to be off loaded.
