a light weight fold up one may be handy, we found that the rain mainly came in the afternoon and evening, and does it rain!! But it is still warm and as long as you have shoes (read sandals) that can stand being waterlogged a bit, it's fine. We never have had bali belly in Bali, and we eat in warungs a fair bit of the time where they cook the food fresh and don't rely on storage of food from one day to the next, so I don't know about the weather being a factor for bb. The only concern I have is being in a swimming pool when the thunder and lightening is putting on the most spectacular show. Have fun!
