Barong is a great Budget Hotel in a location thats so close to everything. The staff are great, rooms are small but adequate.Try and request the triple rooms if you are staying with lots of mates. They offer a bit more room to hang out in,almost like a mini lounge area.I have been staying at Barong and Bounty Hotel for years and love them both.
Yes,you can use the facilities of any of the Barongs sister Hotels (Bounty,Dewi Sri etc..)You will probably have to show some sort of ID card if you are using the pools etc..(card issued at check in)
You also get discount for Clubs & bars,Whitewater rafting,Waterbom Park and stuff like that.
Brekky is usually included in your package but is in a basic buffet style.Eggs, bacon, toast, noodles, those dodgy mini sausages & juice. Its not that great and I often choose to eat out for breakfast at any of the restaurants that are close by really cheaply (Warung 96 does a cheap yummy brekky)
I always take my own mini CD player on in my hand luggage on the plane. Its been to Bali the last 8 trips and has never failed me yet.Its cool just to sit on your balcony, sipping on your duty free & listening to some cool tunes (Copy CD's are 10,000Rp-under $2 Aus)and are everywhere. If you take your own just remember to take an adaptor that suits the type of electrical outlets in Bali.
Cheers and have a cool time.
