Just got back yesterday from our 2nd stay at the Dynasty, I wouldn't stay anywhere else with a family. I have 2 girls aged 8 and 11 they love it, although they don't go to kids club only because they like to be with us they have an absolute ball. We have a family pool view room which is on the ground floor right near the pool. I find this is better as we can sit on our verandah and still see the girls in the pool and you don't have to lug everything down to the pool and back again. You won't regret staying here, whilst we were there this time we went into a couple of other resorts just to see if there was any others that we would stay at next time, but there was none that matched up to the Dynasty. The environment for a family holiday is perfect, there is always something happening around the pool for the kids, like frog races, bombing competitions, volley ball, bingo the list is endless and the rooms are great. The family pool view room has a king size and 2 single beds nice bathroom. The resort just has everything you need and although it is about a 10 minute walk to Kuta it costs about 4000 rupiah (not even $1.00) to get there in a taxi, which you can walk out the front of the hotel and get a taxi straight away.
We stayed for 14.5 nights (late checkout 6.00pm) and it cost us $86 USD per night, about $120 AUD. Not bad considering the hotel, we bought breakfasts when we got there buy 7 and get 12 so that was excellent 595,000 rupiah and children under 12 were 295000, it worked out around $22/day for the 4 of us to eat breakfast which was a beautiful buffet of hot and cold food. We would eat that and then would have something very light if anything for lunch as we were still not hungry. Anyway I would highly recommend this hotel for a family, it would probably better to book directly through the hotel as you will probably get a better price than through an agent, see how you go. Rooms which are good are 133,135,137,139,141 or on the other side of the pool 185,187,189.
