I can't help you personally, but if you are seriously considering any land or property deals in Bali I would suggest you contact Balinese notary Made Puryatma.

Type his name into Google and you will get his contact details.

In some of the more sought after areas, land prices can rise dramatically as owners realise they are sitting on a goldmine. My son has experienced this with land owned by one of his Balinese inlaws which he was interested in, but he hesitated too long and it went up in price.
