River 3 has a view across the gorge to the other side, you just can't actually see the river from the room or veranda. The gorge sides are heavily vegetated on both sides, with big trees rising from the gorge floor. Very spacious vista, no feeling at all of being hemmed in. The veranda is above the level of the pathway going past and is screened from the nearby swimming pool by vegetation, so is quite private.

Yes, the Tjampuhan has plenty of steps and slopes, being built into the side of a gorge, but that's part of what makes it so special. I'm 70 and have no problems whatsoever with the steps etc. I know I'm not typical from a fitness point of view, but I'd say that anyone can handle the Tjampuhan, unless they are unfortunate enough to have a fitness problem or a disability.
