We have two daughters (now 10 & 13) and have stayed at the Jayakarta for our last six visits. We always get interconnecting superior rooms. We are not an affluent family so cost is always a factor but to be able to have the kids in one room, us in the other and have two bathrooms/fridges/TV's (we hire a dvd player for the one in the kids' room from Star DVD) is worth that little bit extra. Not wanting to be near the noise and traffic of the pool area, we have stayed in both the 400 and 500 blocks on the ground floor - then you have grass in front of your room for the kids to throw a ball around, relax on or whatever. I have been to the Melasti and looked at the rooms. Sure, the main room that has the double bed is big but there is only a partition-like wall separating the sleeping areas and one bathroom so we'll be staying at the Jayakarta again until our needs may change.
