when you get into a beverage market here, they will have at least 100 different sorts of beer.
The German beer you will know, also almost nobody would touch here, like Cliff said, export quality.
We have so many very small local breweries here, in many regions there are breweries which only produce to sell in their own restaurant.
The variety of beer can nobody overview.
Regarding foreign beers, they have very good beers in Belgium and my favorites breweries are located in Czech Republic.
Its funny, although we are in beer-paradise here, it has become trendy (especially at the younger people)to provide foreign beer on events.
Mostly Mexican or American beer, like Coronna and Miller's, the are sold for high prices here and the younger people think its cool to drink this horse pee.
About Fosters:
Some years ago, I was on a Moto-cross race, it was the final of the season and sponsored by Fosters here in Germany.
They provided 1000 litres Forsters for free, but arround their stall only 5 English guy were hanging arround, while all the other visitors prefered to BUY German beer, not even for free they got rid of it.
cheers
