I stayed at the Grand Mirage in 2001. Great hotel, very clean, fantastic service. The eating area is beautiful. Thalasso spa is also at the Grand Mirage. Very pricey but worth I'm sure you will love it.
If you want brand names (Fila, Converse etc), I get my trainers from the Galleria in Kuta. There is shop there called Planet Sports. There's always specials. I bought 6 pairs in May this year pricing from AUD$15 to $60, all genuine.
Hairdressers - well I am very fussy but the owner of Secret Garden Hair & Beauty on Jl Legian is a well qualified hairdresser. I forget his name unfortunately.
