I am not sure how much boards are in the UK but the prices in Bali are much more expensive than Australia. You would also need to take or buy a good board cover which would definately be more expensive in Bali. Its not a hassle taking them on the planes, and it gives you somewhere to put towels etc. Most flights let you have 20kilos of sporting equipment on top of your luggage allowance.
