We were in Bali a month ago for one week. We bought some of the Raspberry syrup and took that with us but our 14 year old son who is very fussy would not drink it. My husband and I drank it every morning and every evening. On day three I got a severe case of what I thought was Bali Belly (gastro and vomitting and terrible stomach cramps and also a high temperature). My son thought it was very funny that we had drunk the cordial and I got sick but he didn't drink it and he didn't get sick. A lot of people in our hotel had the same symptoms as myself and none of us could work out what it was. It even continued for a week and a half after I got home. When I finally went to the doctors I was told it was a stomach flu that was going around Australia and I had probably got it before we even arrived in Bali. My husband got it a week after we got home and thankfully my son never got it.
So I guess the upshot is that the Raspberry Syrup stopped the Bali Belly but not the Aussie stomach flu!!!!
Just remember to take a good supply of Imodeum Full Strength and also some Stemitol to stop vomitting, just in case. Even though I had the flu, after I took the above medicine, at least I could continue to sight see etc and as long as there were toilets available, it didn't spoil my holiday at all.
Hope you have a wonderful time. We have already booked to go again next September.
Regards
Maria
